Fund raising to enable development and launch of breast cancer detection wearable device
A technology scale-up wanted to secure investment and product development partnerships in China for their wearable breast cancer detection device.
With the product six months from launch, we identified product and distribution partners and developed their pitch for Chinese investment. We also structured Hong Kong and Irish based entities to specifically support market entry. Working in partnership with Southern Capital Partners, a boutique investment advisory firm, we used our networks and understanding of the Chinese market to identify and target investors.
Our client raised USD$3.8 million in pre-A round funding, with the round led by iFlytek, one of China’s leading artificial intelligence companies. As a result, product development was concluded and the product launched in Hong Kong in 2018, with further series A funding planned for China and ASEAN expansion.
