Biography
Dung is a Senior Patent Attorney based in Hanoi.
Dung Vu is a qualified lawyer and qualified IP agent working on patent matters with 15 years of experience. Previously, she spent ten years as a Patent Executive at Tilleke & Gibbins (Vietnam) Ltd. and 4 years as Head of Patent Division at Le & Le Intellectual Property Law Firm. Before that, she worked for Canon Vietnam Company Ltd. for one year as Head of Quality Control Group in Assembly Department.
Dung’s background is in chemical and pharmaceutical patents, but she prosecutes patents in all areas, including mechanical, computer and telecoms patents and industrial designs. She also handles infringement matters, providing freedom-to-operate opinions, patent landscape studies, drafting oppositions, invalidation actions, carrying out prior art searches and providing opinion on patentability for patent and design. She has successfully handled patent infringement cases both under administrative measures and court proceedings. Recently, Dung has handled a patent infringement case related to a complex SEP matter in the telecoms industry.
She co-authored the book named Patent Claim Interpretation – Vietnam Chapter— Global Edition (Thomson Reuters) published in 2008, latest edition in 2016 and Global Agriculture Law (1st Ed.) – Vietnam Chapter (European Lawyer Reference series, owned by Thomson Reuters), in 2015.
