New IP and Climate Change blog launched

Published on 12 Sep 2018 | 1 minute read

Climate change is no longer a buzz word, it’s a daily and worldwide reality that we cannot ignore.

As one of the first firms to practice IP with Climate Change, Rouse is at the forefront of this emerging area. Fabrice Mattei heads the firm’s Climate Change practice. We have expertise in areas of carbon market and footprint, regulatory proceedings, grid interconnections, emissions trading schemes, renewable energy, energy efficiency and technology transfers to adapt or mitigate to climate change. We have participated and spoken to all UNFCCC’s COPs on Climate Change since the COP 21 during which the Paris Agreement (PA) on Climate Change was adopted.

We help our clients navigate the evolving world of Climate Change regulation and unlock opportunities in a fast increasingly carbon-constrained economy.  Regulations on global warming are quickly reshaping the business and IP landscape. The long awaited Rule Book of the PA will soon bring the agreement to further steps and may well impose additional significant compliance obligations on companies. We combine IP and Climate Change in developing and implementing branding and technology strategies for our clients around the world.

Rouse’s priority is to communicate the importance of the impact we are able to offer to the global climate change legal debate. As part of our communications, we have developed and published a blog: www.ipandclimatechange.com

In this blog we critically analyse the latest regulatory, technological and scientific developments. Please take a look.
